I'm a chiropractic student who will be graduating in 2 years, and I was wondering about chiropractic in Alaska. How are chiropractors viewed in the area? Are people in Anchorage interested in chiropractic care? Is the area saturated with chiropractors, or is there room to grow? I'm not familiar with the area at all, but the thought of starting a brand new life in a such beautiful place sounds wonderful! Any comments will be appreciated.

There are quite a few chiropractic clinics around the Anchorage area. I don't know what the attitude is of others toward chiropractors, but I find them essential. If my only problem is a stiff back or a pinched nerve, I would much rather see a chiropractor for some adjustments than pay a doctor to give me pills to make the symptoms go away and do nothing to treat the problem. One visit to the doctors office is typically more expensive than a weeks worth of chiropractic treatments.
