wow, tea, I used to work for Twinnings (for about 20 years they had the only plant in N. America in Greensboro, NC) that was years ago and I still have a lot of tea in storage. Nowadays, come September, I do tend to stock up on enough Ammunition, rifles, handguns, shotguns to last several years, of course I practice at least once a month (bird season -dove-zenaida macroura) is in, haven't had a chance to get out yet, but....have enough ammo to last several people a couple of years. Deer, odocoileous virginianus, the white tail variety, will come in starting in November, will stock pile a bit of this as well, also.....goose - branta canadensis, wood duck- aix sponsa, Mallard - anis platyrynchos, always like to keep a dozen or so geese in the freezer-----come spring,I have a big cookoff to clear up enough room for the upcoming season, barbequed - all sorts of different critters, seems to be popular with friends and neighbors. Course, my salsa and queso dip are good stuffs-both figuratively and literally- deseed a jalapeno, fill it with queso and warm it up, or, fill it with shredded cheese and a dab of sour cream with a tad of chopped olives, bread the entire thing and flash fry. Dang!!! makin' myself hungry.

Good luck to the hubby, had one, definately not on the list of the better things I've done in life!
Don't buy the microwave now if planning on moving up here....

Forget Walmart. Try craigslist or a thrift shop. I've had microwaves since the mid '80s and the only one I paid more that 5.00 for was one that was built into the Jenn-Air stove I bought in '85. Also paid more for that stove than most of the cars I've owned.

The guys who delivered the stove looked at my house and said 'Kinda like parking a Porsche in a hay barn, ain't it?'

Blog's not bad, but I really like his truck that runs on ears of corn and the way he grinds coffee beans and makes espresso in the carburetor.

Default mmmm, mustard!

Mmmmm, mustard! I love sharp, brown, German-style mustard but it's so hard to find in the U.S. Especially on pan-fried reindeer sausage.

It wouldn't surprise me if there are folks up there who do that right now.
