I've been couple of times to Cedar Lake, Manitoba and they are there... never seen one but felt like I was watched day and night while camping out on Oleson Point.
Or this report:
When we were there we saw bear tracks and a site were a bear had slept, we also found something we can not explain, we found a set of tracks, on one small beach area about ½ hour from our camp. The tracks went from the shore across some sand and mud off into the swamp ( a very thick swamp). The tracks were fresh, and most likely made within hours of us finding them. The tracks were human like (yes I said HUMAN LIKE!!!!!!!) We became very uneasy when we found these, the tracks were longer then a normal human foot, and much more narrow. There have been reports of other people in the past finding strange foot prints, and stories of sasquatch,

There are areas in the state where I would be scared of that, but not back home.

I had a bigfoot over for beer the other night, and he told me that Palin paid that bigfoot off to get a "big-game hunter" photo op in the paper. He said that his friend said she was just a poser.

(Please, please note the pun!)

Haven't seen one myself but I think they exist. There's been a surprising number of sightings here over the years in the Northeast. Someone hoaxes one by running around in a suit here they're liable to get shot by someone. We've got the Bennington Monster down here (in the "Bennington Triangle" of course ): Green mountain ghosts, ghouls ... - Google Books

One of my ancestors was in one of the early hunting parties that set out looking to kill the thing in the early 1800's, and another helped in the search for those missing people in the 40's. I've always kept an eye out for those bodies also (or whatever may be left of them) while in that area hiking and hunting but of course so far nothing found by anyone...weird place though, I've frequently felt like I was being watched there before, a strange uneasy feeling, but who knows why. Could be animals or people triggering that feeling. Of course the woods there are such that something could be 8 feet from you and you would never know it. Not as bad as the Lincoln Gap area of VT for creepiness though. The place that convinced me ghosts (or perhaps demons) exist.

There's definately more sightings of the thing out West though and in Canada. How many claims have there been in Alaska?
