And if you can afford it, get capsules that are designed for HIDs (like projectors), so that you aren't one of the people who put HIDs in a capsule that cause insane glare, and a bad scatter and blind everyone on the other side of the road.

Oh man, those lights are the worst, and actually you can be pulled over if you have them set up improperly because they will blind the drivers on the other side of the street (your lights have to be on the ground by 100ft if I remember from back in drivers ed)

Hey guys, I have a 1991 Ford Escort, and I only paid $56 total for them and installed them myself (very easy). I did not put projectors on either (they do not even make them for my car). I have never been flashed by other drivers, or been pulled over. I have had them over a year by the way, and I live in Vegas. Trust me, I would be a lot more likely to be pulled over here than Alaska. Here is the site where I bought them from.

Many new cars are being sold up here with them, and the major dealerships offer them as option packages. The dealears are always up on the rules, so I guess they must be legal.

It's illegal to modify your stock lighting in almost any state.. It's also illegal to marry a moose on a tuesday.

The lights come stock on many bmw's, mercedes, and other makes of cars. Since they're factory, they're legal.

Like I said, stock capsules on most cars are designed for halogen lights, so when you do install HIDs they often scatter light very bad, and blind other drivers.. It's possible your capsules won't do the same.. But it is best to get projectors with HIDs if you can(that's what I did).

I'm curious as to why some people feel they need to have these. Why do you want something that makes it so people coming towards you can't see?
