Rance, I'm fairly sure that Miborn was referencing the former governor when she typed "she".

The left just can't grasp that the Nation as a whole has gotten fed up with the crazies running the asylum! Of course we can, thats' why "W" and cronies were voted out of office. A whole lot of us were wondering just how that fool got elected----TWICE!!! Well, it's the end of "that" error.

I'm guessing W is George Dubya (W) Bush, I have heard people distinguish the two Bushes by calling him W.

Hate to pop your bubble, but the democrats controled congress for two years before the housing crunch. Bush was warning about it and Rep. "Bonnie Frank" (the housing Queen), screamed there was nothing wrong with it, two years later it fell apart.

Bush gets some blame too because it was on his watch, but the Dems had the purse strings and were mandating that the banks give home loans to people that couldn't afford to pay them back.

They aren't now in most aspects?

Simply saying something doesn't make it fact. Bush was NOT warning about a housing bubble. He made one reference to the GSE's, but was actually pushing homeownership for low income individuals as much as anyone. There are innumerable quotes from Bush throughout his entire presidency not only pushing homeownership, but bragging about record high numbers of "owners". The guy was a shill for housing. You're lost on this one, buddy.

"We can put light where there's darkness, and hope where there's despondency in this country. And part of it is working together as a nation to encourage folks to own their own home."

- President George W. Bush, Oct. 15, 2002
