We will be moving to Alabany next month. I will be working in SUNY campus. I am not student/faculty/staff, so I won't have on-campus housing option.

Can you, please, suggest some safe family-friendly housing near SUNY?

Try Delmar/Slingerlands/Glenmont/Bethlehem; look west of the campus off Hwy 85 about 5 miles. Very family friendly area. "The Mansions " are good. There are others as well but I dont know the names...
