$2020 a month for an apartment, ouch? I am paying $920 a month, to own my house in 11 years, of which I have 1 year left to go. Paid 88k for it, now it is worth 140k ish You never know what you want in your first house until you buy it. There are many of these houses on the market now, that don't cost much and will go up as mine did, still a great time to buy, you won't get a better chance then right now.
