What is ironic is that Crossgates is in Guilderland.

I believe that the city of Albany only had 2 homicides last year and has had 2 or 3 this year.

I think the Capital Region is growing at just the right pace. Some growth but not overwhelming.

People seem to fly off the handle everywhere these days.

What's been decent is that it isn't just growth, but there's been some revitalization of existing facilities. The Times Union Center has an enclosed area now with a Johnny Rockets restaurant. They're still working on the sidewalk/Pearl St area. They did tear down the abandoned buildings behind the TU parking lot and built the Convention Center. Been in there once, looks good. Too bad the TU parking garage is still hideous with rat traps outside the doors, although the walkway is well lit and has ac and heat now. The Renaissance Hotel was renovated and turned in to a nice place. Attended a function there, impressed. The old Worker's Comp office building is being converted in to apartments - just remember if you're on the ground floor to close your bathroom door. I've noticed a lot more activity with young people out at the bars across the street from the hotel and Convention Center. Just gotta give them a warning that breaking for pedestrians is not one of my strong suits.
