I was offered a job in Saratoga Springs, NY. I am trying to decide between living in Saratoga Springs, or perhaps Albany, NY. I am planning on renting for my first year, and would like to be close to some nightlife. I do not have to live in the city, but am not interested in living in a rural area. Is the gay social scene in Albany vibrant enough to warrant living there and driving to Saratoga for work? Or is there a gay social scene in Saratoga?

Thanks!

Default Saratoga or Albany

I lived in Saratoga Springs and by all means if I had a job in Saratoga I would live there. Just visit to decide. I would rather commute to Albany for some gay weekend activities than commute every day from Albany to work in Saratoga. I prefer to live in cities and love Saratoga Springs. I find it easier to make friends in smaller cities.

I now live in Greenwich NY, 20 minutes from Saratoga Springs. There is a gay owned restaurant in Greenwich called One One One. This is a really small town but there are a few gay businesses on Main Street. We are everywhere. I love it here.
