Agree?
As a guy who likes an occasional adult beverage or two, I make sure to take plenty of milk thistle and I've been doing it for years now.

Hope it's doing me some good.

From every story I have heard it is like ointment to a wound.
Yes!
Good to bring it up for anyone that doesn't know about it...they
can google it to read for themselves...I always have it in the house.
Did you know the liver repairs/rejuvenates itself at night ?
That's when I take it.

Miss H -- I did know that the liver repairs itself, but didn't specifically know when.
I take the milk thistle with my dinner each night.

I also take acidophilus pills each day to help with digestion.

The kind of stuff that your doctor will never tell you!

A naturopath told me that an MD had a case of poisoning and he knew enough to call the naturopath and get milk thistle before the person's liver was poisoned. I think it was a mushroom the person had eaten and it kills the liver. Anyway the milk thistle saved the person's life. Good stuff.

Do NOT take it if you have a ragweed allergy.

Also good for the liver--N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) and dandelion root. Or if you're really desperate for healing you can try that one where you drink apple juice for a few days and then epsom salts in water at 6:00 pm and 1/2 cup olive oil at 9:00 pm.

Thought that was gall bladder....anyway, that's also an incredible gallbladder flush.

I have taken milk thistle for a few years now. Sometimes I take one with a "synergistic blend" of other herbs. My liver enzymes are always great when I get my lab work done. And I enjoy a couple glasses of wine daily.

Another thing I have read that is cleansing to the liver is citrus, especially lemon. I make sure to have the juice of one lemon every day, usually in two or three doses.

Both. I know it as the liver/gallbladder flush.
