Some doctors are more forward thinking than others. The surgeon who operated on my cataracts is ranked within the top 1-5% of eye care specialists performing Lasik surgery, Cataract surgery, and Refractive surgery in the U.S. He was recognized as a Leading Physician of the World by the International Association of Healthcare Workers. In 2014 he was named one of the best doctors in the US for the 14th consecutive year.

He has appeared on several television programs including “Connie Chung’s Eye to Eye,” CNN and Public Broadcasting. He is a part time Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, at the Harvard Medical School. He received an Honor Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology for his scientific contributions and leadership in educational activities. On staff at Massachusetts General Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Other achievements: “America’s Top Ophthalmologists” and is listed in “Best Doctors in America.”

Here is info on Castor Oil and cataracts. A couple people on another health group use Castor drops and it's keeping from surgery.

Talking to a member on H&W who is going thru some cataract issues now. Maybe that person will come here.

I told her about my neighbor who had cataract surgery about a year ago and she walks around with her hand over that eye as it's not healed as it "should" have. I've given her info but it's up to her about changing docs, getting out of Kaiser or whatever has to be done to right it. A re-do or whatever they need to do.

There are some who do have issues with these surgeries.
