Also another thing to keep in mind regarding taking homeopathic remedies unlike drugs or herbs is that with a homeopathic remedy you don't and in some cases should NOT follow the directions on the bottle regarding dosing.

With Homeopathy you generally should just take a single dose (and it doesn't even have to be a full dose) and then WAIT and WATCH for changes in symptoms. If you see positive changes do NOT take another dose until the improvements end and negative symptoms begin to reappear. Then take a second dose.

If nothing happens after taking the first dose, after the first several hours or first day or two depending on the potency and the severity of the illness, you can try another dose. But after that if there is no change, do NOT take a third dose. Try a different remedy. ABCHomeopathy.com has a questionnaire you can fill out which can help you choose the right remedy for you.
I only use the single remedies, the blue tubes from Boiron. You're correct, there really is no dosing. Many times you just need one dose.

The very first time I used a homeopathic remedy it was under a doctor's care. One dose at his office. I had no idea what would/could happen, this was all new to me. I ended up going through a couple of days of mononucleosis type symptoms, something I had ten years earlier. I was just amazed when I went back to learn that this is exactly what can happen if the correct constitutional remedy is chosen.

That's great! Actually I'm just a tad jealous as I had mono many years ago and have always wondered if it was the basic cause of my subsequent health problems with CFS/fibromyalgia. It takes a real pro to determine the correct constitutional remedy for a person.

Yes, that is what the homeopathic doctor works to establish, one's constitution for the remedies and when I was considering it all, money was my factor. Plus I use both types of protocols. Who knows now if all this arthritis I deal with could have worked by a doctor working with my constitution. I've used single remedies for arthritis and didn't find help.

Any suggestions on a homeopathic to "lift the mood" . My friend could use something and doesn't want A/D's due to heart afib. I planted the seed for homeopathics and she'll look into this. I was wondering for myself too as a "lift would not hurt"....I'm going to do some google search but that I'd mention to you. jam

I'm going to look thru these closer:

Be careful about St. John’s Wort as it has negative interactions with certain drugs including birth control.

While looking for homeopathics for a "lift" I found these that look interesting for cold issues:

This looks a bit interesting for Mood Fix:

First thing I would recommend is morning sunshine in your eyes. It helps trigger the brain to make seratonin, dopamine and melatonin to use at night.

For extreme depression, grief and stress I've used the homeopathic Ignatia Amara.

What about essential oils? I'm still learning about those.

When I was going through a bad time, people told me to try Ignatia. It had absolutely no effect though.
Maybe it just wasn't the correct remedy for me.

It sure would be nice to have a homeopathic remedy to lift the mood at times. I've had great success with a couple of remedies--I think both were for menopausal symptoms.
