Yes, I did. The option would have been to forego adjuvant treatment and accept the 1 in 3 risk of the cancer returning.
Chemo and radiation reduced that to 1 in 20. It was a judgement call, for sure. I'm aware that second cancer diagnoses are sometimes traced to chemo/radiation. However, I was being followed very closely so that anything that appeared would be caught early. It was easy (though annoying) to treat my new tumor; it is very difficult to eradicate a former cancer which recurs.
