Northern Mexicans have a bit of a reputation for being racist. But overall Asians are well thought of and are treated well in Mexico and through out Latin America.

Yes. Apparently, throwing bananas onto the field is the latest trend in insulting black/brown skin soccer players in European soccer leagues, also hockey to a lesser extent. Google it.

You sound like the "other American" that can't wait to hop on the race bandwagon, not the OP or anyone else on this thread. Keep your race bating to yourself.

What's wrong with individuals trying to broaden their knowledge about the living conditions and treatment of people of other cultures around the world?

To tell you the truth I think there is more racism in Central Mexico.

There are quite a few Asians and Asian descendants in Northwest Mexico and no one cares.

Let us compare how Central Americans are treated in Mexico vs. in the USA.

There is the issue of how the authorities, who don't treat its own citizens well, treat Central Americans. That is unacceptable and an atrocity. Also the gangs who prey on them.

However, then there is the issue of how Central Americans are treated in general by Mexican society. I know Central Americans who live in Baja Ca. and they live fine. They appreciate that they were able to find jobs, many of them have been deported from the US.

This is a huge issue right now that no one takes into consideration. Thousands of people, many who are not Mexican, get dumped into Northern Mexico when deported. This is a huge problem in Tijuana right now. It is sad.

I actually found an article about Anti-Chinese sentiments in Northern Mexico.

Fascinating stuff! I wonder if these sentiments are current!?!
No they are not. I have family who are part Chinese and this is normal for Mexicali. People from Mexicali don't brag that they have good Mexican food. They brag about their Chinese fol
Od which is actually very good!

Also, alot of the Asians who are currently in Northern Mexico own factories. They are in positions of power. If anything, it is more common to hear of factory workers being mistreated.

The Mexicali Chinese community is one of the highlighted ones!

That's pretty cool. Mexico is much more diverse than the average person thinks.
