Traveling. I suspect that many people come on a cruise or for a quick stop. Panama City is the best city in Central America, that's not saying much but still it's pretty good. Historical areas, beautiful scenery, an actual city like atmosphere, good day trips from the city itself, good nightlife, etc. I was really fond of Casco Viejo. The rest of Panama is neat too, but I'm a city person.

IC, I am glad you liked your experience in Panama. How long did you stay in Panama?
No car and staying too far from the city. The problem is when you stay in the such a beautiful resort it is hard to actually to stay at a hotel in the city when you have a paid for room and food. And the food was really good too and we are both really picky. It was way better then any other resort I have been too. It was actually hard to get on the plane to go home.
That is why I also mentioned GDP per capita. Certainly these are better measures than looking on google streetview. Do you have any better suggestions?
One does not exclude the other. GDP per capita does not matter as much to EXPATS either.
Out of curiosity, do you work for a tourist oriented agency/govt secretariat?
He's just proud of his home country/city. I would be too. Now he's making me want to go back...so it's working!
