Bogota is huge. It's LA like in how spread out it is but still can feel very dense. I wouldn't say it looks one way or another. It is a huge place.

Brick is pretty much the default option in Bogota. So it doesn't really mean anything but poorer people tend to build up their houses very slowly, literally almost a brick at a time. They move in to the house while the exterior walls are barely built and continue to fix up the house over a long period of time.

I must have the Bogota house reno mentality. It just makes sense to grab the land while you can then start from there. Once all the land is gone/ occupied it is not exactly like you can start stacking your bricks in the middle of the air .
