Wrong. Talk to Westerners who have had to go life support after being in places like the Congo. Tropical diseases/parasites and the climate are huge issues. Remember ebola? There are other diseases.
Colombia is an overwhelmingly white/mestizo country. Black people are a minority. They are only a majority on the Pacific Coast.
I'm from Santa Marta and I know for sure I'm not black.
There are a number of genetic studies and the Colombian population as a whole only has 9% SSA admixture including both coasts, in cities like Bucaramanga, Manizales, Pereira, Villavicencio, Neiva, Ibague, Pasto, Cucuta, Bogota, Tunja, Medellin, etc. the percentage drops dramatically. The remaining 91% is either European/Middle Eastern or Native American, with the European share being the most representative.
This applies to coastal cities too like Barranquilla or Santa Marta on the North Coast, even more so in cities like Tunja or Bogota where black people were never part of the cities' history.
Cali has a large minority of black people but they are not a majority and they hardly mix with the local population. Black people in Cali come from Buenaventura and other towns located on the Pacific Coast. Cartagena on the other hand has a large population of mulattos and black people mixed with other groups to varying degrees given as it was a slave port but they don't make up a majority.

No one has claimed Latin America is a black continent. I would say Dominicans are basically Spanish speaking Haitians. LOL
And yes there are many Black people in Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia. I get asked all the time if I am Colombian, Cuban, Brazilian, Dominican, Haitian, Moroccan, Nigerian, Arabic, etc.

Which “black” people on this forum are obsessed with portraying Latin America as a “black” continent? Or it is that you just feel the need to make some statement regarding “black” people on this forum? “Black” is not a social club to which all are invited to be a part. Let’s be clear. Either you are African by heritage or you are not. The majority of Latin America is not and hardly anyone of African origin on this forum - if anyone at all - cares to claim them as such. Be assured.
If the numbers of Africans go down in Africa it's because huge numbers of them move to Europe.
Of course, this is the stupidest post around. There's no mass movement of Europeans or Asians to Africa. Frankly, it didn't happen during colonialism because Europeans could not take the climate nor the tropical diseases/parasites.

Chinese are very far behind as European languages like English, Spanish, and French (even Portuguese) have global distribution, Chinese language isn’t spreading.
