I can see why you call yourself El Chevere.

Nothing ruins a person's attitude faster than having to do connecting flights and then, as if that wasn't enough, face delays and even cancellations. One simple trip suddenly becomes complicated, longer than it should, tiring, etc all just to get there (or go back home.) lol

Then the kicker, they lost your luggage... nice!

I only do carry on…..if necessary, I use my laptop bag as the second piece of luggage where I carry 3-4 nicer dress shirts if going on a 2 week vacation, leaving the laptop at home. Friends who want to travel with me who insist on checking luggage can wait and meet me at the hotel. I’m a little more flexible if a woman is involved since there are benefits to be derived, though I usually don’t bring sand to the beach

Getting through immigrations today in Medellin was a breeze. Might have taken a minute.

Unfortunately, nothing.

The distance from Los Angeles to Lima is farther than going from Boston, MA to Lima.

There used to be a direct non-stop flight from LAX to Sao Paulo but to my knowledge it was discontinued since before Covid. And that flight was only offered a few times a week. Nothing direct to Rio or anywhere else in Brazil.

Only direct flight from LAX to Colombia is to Bogota.

There is a direct flight from LAX to Lima but it is only offered a few days a week.
