Hello neighbors!

Just thought I'd ask if you know of something interesting to do for New Year's? How about fireworks downtown? Where is a good place to park and watch? Anything else?

And Happy New Year, everyone!

Park over by Skinny Raven, walk to town square to see the ice sculptures & then fireworks. Afterwards, walk to one of our many great downtown eateries. Happy new year!

I heard from my DD that fireworks are ALLOWED in Anchorage this year until 1am Jan 1, 2011.

I have not followed up on this to see if it is true or not.

But I will be at home, sharing some airspace with my neighbors.

My supervisor lives in Wasilla. He allows at least 1 hour generally. There has been a few times that it took longer due to weather, or a few other times, he didn't make it to work. I understand the highway can be like a parking lot at times though, depending on what time you leave.

We could see fireworks from all directions & hear them all night with the new law in effect. Looked like Baileys put on quite a show. Do any of you live in neighborhoods where the whole neighborhood got together in a cul-de-sac?

Great pics, HappyNewMe!
