We are looking at a place on W Greensward in Wasilla. Does anyone know it this area floods? Or is there a way to find out? I asked the realtor and all she would say is she hasn't heard of it flooding in the area, which is no help.

It's out off of Pittman. I think it sits up high enough that the only time it would flood is if you got enough rain that the ground got saturated. It's in kind of a swampy area.

looks like you could grow a good crop of skeeters there. The little Su. is just north of there.

Thanks for the info. another area we are considering is E Mulchatna Dr, looks to be a little higher.

Aren't you guys having kind of a warm spell up there? Looks like it has been colder in the midwest.

We finally got back down below freezing after almost two weeks above it. Very unusual. No one is complaining about the spring preview though. Except it did cause some flooding. The ground was still frozen so the melting snow wouldn't absorb into it.

I personally would do Mulchanta over Greensward just because it's so much closer to town. Your drive time from downtown Wasilla to Mulchatna would be about five minutes. To Greensward would be over 15 minutes.

Are you buying this property sight-unseen? That's pretty risky. I hope you have a really good, honest Realtor.

I don't live in AK but I can tell you to call your homeowners insurance company and tell them the address. They can pull up flood info for it. Good Luck
