Nope... Just in the Valley. Wasilla/Palmer/Meadow Lakes/Big Lake/Houston.
At one point there was a group of them driving bus for First Student. I know a lot do home construction.
I don't know of a specific spot where they hang out, other than their churches. I know they have a big one off of Lucus Road.

There is a significant population, the USA did purchase Alaska from Russia after all, we did not deport the Russian population upon purchase.

There are many Russian Orthodox churches in Alaska.

I encounter Russian people frequently in Anchorage (one young lady works at my bank here in Eagle River) and particularly in the coastal fishing towns and villages I have been to, commercial fishing is a common way of life for them.

The language is, or at least was, offered as part of the school curriculum when I went to high school 35 years ago.

The Ukrainians here in the MatSu Valley immigrated here during the '90s. They do not consider themselves Russian. Most of them attend Slavic Evangelical churches, not Russian Orthodox churches.

Russians went to area too. Some came during the 60s and 70s as part of the Old Believers. The video I posted on this thread will tell you about that. Just play it and you'll find out.

Here is some history on Russian influence regarding Alaska; Alaska History and Cultural Studies - Alaska's Heritage - CHAPTER 3-5: THE FUR TRADE

Also, the mention of the Russian Orthodox church was exactly that, that they exist and are common. you are the one drawing the comparison between Russian and Ukrainian, not I.
