Are you able to live in Alaska in an camper, in a camp ground and claim residency? And where would be the best place to raise a already growing family in Alaska?

So did you ever make it up here? Did you come in the camper?

More food stamps and medicaid--nice. Guess taxpayers are so "happy" to help out.

No need for being sarcastic. I'm a taxpayer that doesn't like paying for people who abuse the system. But at a time, without abusing the system, I needed some assistance and that is what the program is for, people who need help.
And if these people need help it's good knowing the help is more especially because of the increase of cost of living up here.
If they abuse the system then be mad at the lawmakers n research who you vote for...
But jumping to conclusions about these people or me with your sarcastic comment was unnecessary.
Sorry you have a bad outlook and just be happy you have a job so you don't need help/assistance n during your hard times you get a person making sarcastic comments..... that you could of kept to yourself.

Did it make you feel any better?

Don't be so bitter about things you can't fix, otherwise your just angry.

I am strongly in favor of a societal safety net, but if someone has the thousands of bucks necessary to travel up unnecessarily to Alaska, they should be spending that money on their living expenses instead, generally speaking. If you can afford to drive an RV to Alaska but you can't afford to feed yourself on arrival, you can't actually afford to drive an RV to Alaska.

Basically anywhere you are in the lower 48, there is somewhere within a day of driving that has a better job market and lower cost of living than Alaska.

I'm sorry, but Alaska doesn't need any more trash living in trailers and campers. The place is basically ruined because of them. There's a **** hole trailer court less than a half mile from my home that looks like a Mad Maxx hellscape, and the people...just don't get me started. Animal abuse, child abuse, substance abuse, it's all rampant, and it's dragging this community down.

ETA I'm not talking about one guy or a couple or a small family in well-maintained trailer with enough room. I'm talking about cramming families into campers and RVs. That's a horrible lifestyle to inflict on your children, and it's not fair to the communities in which you're living.
