Hello folks.
As I wrote here " Moving to Alaska from New Jersey " here is reality . After 9 days of hard driving trough Canada I am in Alaska. I had to drive nearly 5000 miles to reach this state. Not , easy trust me. The worst it was Highway trough Yukon ( Canada ) These is gravel stone highway with thousands potholes every where. The damage I could see on my new car which was on the trailer. Flying gravel stones did a lot's of damage on my car. I just can not believed. I should cover my car , but is late already. I drove U Haul truck with trailer. I got flat 2 tires on trailer in Alaska. Most likely in Canada. I didn't pay attention to trailer. Because Ford truck it was so ,noisy inside I didn't hear any noise inside the truck cabin. Basically I destroyed 2 tires and trailer, but U Haul road site assistance is excellent. They locate me with GPS signal and help it was on the way. Truck shop repaired trailer over night. So , I could following day to continue drive to Anchorage. Here I am I signed lease for apartment. When I have been in Rental office I got job offer right away. I couldn't believed. But I postponed offer to September. I want to enjoy Alaska summer. After such journey. And I am happy to be out of New Jersey state.
One thing when I called GEICO car insurance.Because I am moving out of state NJ. You know guys, what happened. NJ state punished me $ 110.00 surcharge on car insurance in Alaska. yes , yes , stupid New Jersey punishing people leaving the state. New Jersey is another financially broken state.

Welcome to Alaska. Sounds like you had a great trip and got fully initiated on the drive up with the gravel damage . Next time pulling a car up, maybe at least put some cardboard or something over the windshield .

You know I am up set of that damage. It looks like somebody shot me with shotgun from both sites . God damn Canada , Yukon. Today I called GEICO and they set up appointment with one of they agent to look on that damage and perhaps repair.
If , I damn knew . I would cover up the car , but I didn't know that Yukon highway look like battle field road . Can you imagine loaded truck heading towards to you . It looks like thousands buffalo running. Dust up to sky and gravel stone flying like pellets . Windshield is good but car body is mess. Never ever Canada.

I just completed the drive and my experience was totally different. Couple of Chios on the windshield, but I found the Alcan to be quite nice.
