Nah, it's way off the radar for me, now. I can forgive random past indiscretions from politicians. Habitual ones, not so much.

Besides, politicians and booze never stray far from each other.

Maybe IF she did get at least a slap on the wrist back then she would have gottten help for her obvious ongoing problem that seems more than apparent today.
"Amnesty" as a legislator was claimed on her part. Anyone want to try that one with Sheriff Joe? It's reassuring to know with all it's problems this state could be electing the female version of Otis of Mayberry.

And I strongly disagree with that so called "law". Nobody should be exempt from prosecution just because he/she is a member of the Legislature. Driving while intoxicated amounts to the same crime regardless of WHO the person is, and nobody should receive preferential treatment ... that includes police officers as well!

But I still maintain that this happened over 20 years ago, and it should be dropped. It's not like it happened during her term as Governor. Somebody from the Goddard camp apparently has nothing better to do than to dig up dirt.

She must have sobered up by now.

There are plenty of GOOD reasons not to like a particular politician. Don't need bogus ones.

Maybe if she did Cocaine like our current president admitted to she could run for Federal Office. No one seemed to care about Obama and his "little" cocaine use. Hmm then there is Ted Kennedy and his "bridge incident." Look how many times he was reelected to the Senate.
