I am looking for some insight regarding Catalina vs Vail school districts. I have offers at both and need to know I am making a decision that allows me to stay in the district for several years. I'm a sped teacher. Can anyone provide info on what it is like to work in the district?

Be aware that teacher pay is especially low in Sierra Vista especially with housing rates inflated by the Ft Huachuca army base. Starting pay with 4 year degree and no experience is 29,000$ a year. With two years experience and Masters in Education pay scale increases to 32,000$. There has also been an 8 year freeze on all raises and scheduled step increases although this year may show the first small increase. With no pay over summer be prepared to live on 1800$ per month or less at that rate with a flexible bonus in June.
