HI I wonder if anyone is willing to share some information about what it's like to live in Payson? I have been to different areas but need an insiders viewpoint Could tell me about different sections of the city and what you like or dislike about living there? Do the sections have names? Thank you for any informaion you would be willing to share.

Have you done a search here and read those threads? There are several threads on Payson here already. Then, if you have more questions, ask. It would help to have more information about you and what you are looking for. Someone whose situation and lifestyle are very different from yours may have a perspective that's really not useful for you.

I like Payson's greenery and the views of the Mogollon Rim. The casino there has the coldest slots I've ever dealt with so don't make a habit of that. Had an excellent burger at the Buffalo Bar and Grill right at the bottom of the hill going into town on Rte 87 north of the casino.

It is a one horse town if you are seeking lavish amenities and shopping. Downtown definitely has some age to it with well established multigenerational families which is rare with all the recent transplants in more populated areas. Mainly a weekend retreat for those who pay 100K for land with cabins near Tonto Creek and East Verde River heading up to Pine. Moderator cut: off topic Payson is one of the closest mountain towns not completely overrun by Californians and Retirees.
