A couple of things I can't find anywhere else but Walmart - Dixie Fry and Bob Evans frozen biscuits and gravy (yum). I have to go by Smith's to get to Walmart and as far as meat goes, Smith's totally outshines Walmart in their quality, so if I'm going to Walmart Smith's is my last stop.

Doesn't do anything to offset sale tax loss though.
I think when Kroger bought out Smiths 20 years ago that's when the Frys/Bashas/Food City/Walmart market up by K Mart location had all those tenants 1 after the other. Kroger I'm sure dumped that Frys for the Smiths that it picked up so Bashas moved to the now empty Frys. A few years later Food City took over. That was told to me by an old timer here in Bullhead.

Here it'll be weird because there's a Sams Club, about 6 miles down 95 will be the neighborhood Walmart, 2 miles from there going further down the highway is our present Walmart, then 6 miles will be a 2nd Walmost in FM. That's a LOT of big box store real close together in an out of the way place with about 80,000 people.

Hey kids! It's time for the "Annual WalMart Mirage" update!

There was actually a picture on social media of BULDOZERS on the site and a RUMOR of a groundbreaking!

Until I see actual walls I'm going to assume the equpiment simply broke down and was abandoned there. LOL.

Holy Smokes! They have broken ground and grading is underway. There's a mountain of equipment.

And I didn't buy the strip mall across the street...

Kick me.

Any more word on the FM Walmart? Last time I was by there; the outside walls were up. This was a few weeks back.

Hey Packard - yeah, I drove by today. Looks like all the walls are up. I saw a big rig with what looked maybe like roof panels turning in. Lots of excavating going on too. Doesn't look like that big of a store, but maybe because it's a long way across the future parking lot. I noticed the nursery next door has a for sale sign now. But they want a million bucks for that now! Are you on "Rants and Raves?" There's occasional updates there.

I heard a rumor of opening in February.
