You can not own unattended property in that part of the country. Leave a metal sided Mobil home and you will come back to no siding. Even sheds get stripped for material.

Default Dolan the land of nothing

Dolan Springs has nothing to offer, it's a place that is dying and no one cares. There is nothing for kids to do that is any way productive or gives them opportunities. Yes it's small, quiet, dusty and a lot of nice people but over all it's nothing to speak of, if you like the quiet life out in the middle of nowhere..find a better spot. I hate it here

That original Dolan Springs thread is a trip and a half. Gave me a smile on a boring morning. Never know what sleepy little town a big group of people will get FIRED UP about!

I think you're right. I went to Chloride and Dolan Springs a few weeks back and; even tho Chloride is tiny, it felt pretty "clean" but DS made my skin crawl.

Nice that you joined just to bring back a year old thread.

My research shows that many small town areas of western Arizona can be pretty tough. Well get tough yourself. Arm yourself, carry open and let the n'er do well's know that at least you are not going to be a victim.

Maybe the bustling Meadview will be up your alley ! It is a seedy area no doubt. Only endearing thing is the joshuas along Pierce Ferry.

BULLHEAD CITY — Investigators are looking into the cause of a blaze that burned two churches in Dolan Springs on Saturday night. There were no reports of injuries.
The Community Church, located on Pierce Ferry Road, burned to the ground, said Rebecca Smith, a Dolan Springs resident who was on scene. The Baptist church, located across the street, also burned.

I don't like that at all. Not good.

^^^ Yeah, TWO churches in the desert just spontaneously combust like Moses's bush?

And a "large group of residents were interested in the FD response" because of an ongoing fire coverage dispute.

What could possibly be suspiscious about that.

Has Dolan gotten any better or not? I haven't been there since last year so maybe someone can clue me in.
