I am curious if anyone else notices the frequent misrepresentations in kids cartoons about the wild west/southwest?

For instance:
- Saguaros are only in the Sonoran Desert, but they are often placed in Monument Valley (which is mostly in Utah)
- Arizonans do not have Texas/Southern accents
- Animals here cannot talk

Hey, PhxMan... I guess some of us are trying real hard to take you seriously here, but c'mon! Who on earth can you really complain to about the fact that Quickdraw McGraw talks to Baba Looey - as we just happen to see Saguaros in Monument Valley? Besides, I happen to believe that Quickdraw really is from Texas!

Cartoons! They had saguaros outside the car window as the family is leaving Albuquerque in Little Miss Sunshine.

I think you can hardly blame an animator in LA, or a cartoonist holed up in a newspaper cubicle in Boston for not representing the various desert regions correctly, but it's more annoying and unforgivable when its done by locals who definitely should know better. For example, it's only recently that the Tucson Marathon website didn't feature Monument Valley as it's primary image ... I mean I know marathons are a long distance but I don't recall running quite that far last time!!

This is over a cartoon..
What am I missing here ?
Is it a documentary in cartoon format ?
Or is it simply a kids animation video ?
Do you realize it is a fantasy ?
99.99% of all movies are fantasy even with live actors.
you need a trip to universal studios.
