Anyone who has been to Yuma knows it is a very transient place. In fact I feel that over half of the people I've met here are not native Yumans. It makes for interesting conversation and I get to learn a lot about what brings people here. It's pretty cool to see all the different license plates and team jerseys that are worn.

Anyway the education field brought me here from the Chicagoland area in July of 2013. Not sure if this is going to be a long-term residence but I like it for now.

What about you? Where did you come from and how long have you been in the 'sunniest place on Earth'?

My parents brought me and my sibs to Yuma when I was 13, I left when I was 53. Not exactly transient.
I know what you mean about transient, seemed like everyone I met when we first got here was from New York (state). As the city has grown, I think that there is definitely more Yuma natives now and less transient population.
