Ya, Arizona is a terrible place to live.
I see that. This is a very warm year. Actually kinda scary...

Why scary? I've only been here since September & it was hot for me then & it is warmer than I expected now but mornings & evenings are great. Is this unusual weather for Arizona?

Being retired I can choose when to be outside so it's not as big a problem as it would be when I was working.

Hmmm - was just outside & the coyotes are making noise again. I'm used to hearing loons in the background. Hearing coyotes instead feels...strange.

Suppose I'll get used to it at some point

You probably will. Arizona is a big change from MN and MI (where I came from). It is really a unique and special environment, but very different from what I was used to. I love Arizona now, though I still miss the north woods at times too.

It's the urban heat island for us Phoenicians. Won't ever go away as long as people keep building out in Pinal County and Surprise and Buckeye.

Here it is already halfway through November, and I still need to water my snap dragons and moss roses that I planted in late March. Certainly wasn't expecting this...just so terrible
