And Nogales is in Santa Cruz county btw
Santa Cruz is a very small county, and Nogales does have almost the same weather as most of Cochise county. Nogales and Bisbee are almost identical. But the other poster was saying why they preferred Cochise county over the counties.

And, gross... Still not worse than the lower CO river towns though (Yuma, BHC, Havasu) which are quite literally furnaces.

Nogales did hit 109f for the first time ever this year, but that likely happened 40 times in PHX this year. I lived in Rio Rico for four years with central evap...loved it. If you are sensible; Nogales AZ and Sonora offer quite a lot. There was one whole year, when I only went to Tucson twice. I noticed recently that 85621 is 0.0% african american...just sayin'.

That 109 is a record though, the normal high in Nogales tops out at 95 while our high is 108, and their morning low tops out at 66 while ours gets up to 86. Flipside, they don't get cold in the winter like other high elevation places in the state, and have palm trees despite being at 4,000ft. Nogales' normal high bottoms out at 62 and their normal low bottoms out at 28, much better than winter in Payson or Flagstaff

I agree with the poster who said that San Diego has the best weather in the nation. It's nice and comfortable all the time there, or so I hear. The only drawback I can see of it being nice and comfortable all the time, is it might get monotnous after awhile. I think I'd be wishing for a really rough thunder and lightening storm, or some snow, or a cold day. Anything to break up the monotony of this constantly nice and comfortable weather. I think Honolulu would be the same way.

Wanting to live somewhere and being able to afford it are two different things. San Diego is very nice.

Here is a nice home in San Diego on a 3,700 square foot lot. Asking price is $649,000.

12032 Caminito Ryone, San Diego, CA 92128 - Home For Sale and Real Estate Listing - realtor.com®

Here is one in Surprise that is on a 6,200 square foot lot and the asking price is $200,000.

15961 W Statler St, Surprise, AZ 85374 - Home For Sale and Real Estate Listing - realtor.com®

Here is a home in my area in lowly little Oxnard CA that is listed for $506,000

1810 Jeannette Dr, Oxnard, CA 93030 - Home For Sale and Real Estate Listing - realtor.com®

Here is one in New Mexico for $290,000

7528 Rio Salado Ct Nw, Albuquerque, NM 87120 - Home For Sale and Real Estate Listing - realtor.com®

So tell me. Is price a consideration? I have to tell you that if we were in the market again for a home we would not even be looking in my area. San Diego would not be on our radar either. Many people come from other parts of the Nation and can not get over the idea of living in a home that is if you are lucky, 10 feet away from the next door neighbors home. I know of similar neighborhoods in the Phoenix area where the homes are close together.

It's been a consideration for me, I am headed TO California, but have stuck it out in Phoenix building a career so I can have a job and income to afford a 1 bedroom apartment, finally there, but have to wait for fiance to finish school first

Coming from the SE we understand heat and HIGH humidity, we have dealt with several weeks of 100+ temps in Moab and Santa Fe/ABQ. So far it does not seem that bad next to our 98 deg 90%+ humidity months. I say months since nights and mornings are usually just as hot and humid as the days while we have seen in the SW temps seem cool once the sun set's or before it rises much.

I have followed Flagstaff WX and it seems quite cold in the winter and cool in the summers while most other cities are just HOT :-) most of the months with a few months of cold. Any suggestions to the most temperate city's if any and what cities to avoid RE: crime ?
1. Buy a house in Prescott. Moderate temps, four seasons, high altitude, low crime.

2. With the money you've saved by living in Arizona, spend a couple of weeks every year vacationing at a very nice resort in San Diego. Or buy a boat/RV/trailer and enjoy everything Arizona has to offer outdoors.

3. Problem solved.
