A good way to explore our state is to travel and live in an RV, as many snowbirds do. If you don't care for an area, just fire up the engine and go! Lake Havasu City has a huge retired, active RVer population in the winter months, and you'll meet many active friends along the way! The snowbirds are all over the state, from Yuma all the way up to Kingman! The biggest RV gatherings are in Quartzsite in the month of January. Lots of fun to people watch, shop for interesting things, or just mingle with the rest of the crowd. Can't go wrong with that little visit. Phoenix, to me, is a never ending city bustling with too many people and crazy drivers. You may as well be driving in Los Angeles! Why not adventure out, enjoying everything our beautiful state has to offer, instead of staying in one place? I hope this helps?

Thanks for your idea, but I am not an RV person. I prefer to take trips with my car and retreat to the comfort of my condo or apt. I enjoy the amenities of a more populated area such as coffee shops, baseball games, meeting with friends...a little hustle and bustle balanced with a workout and swimming pool action and time to trade stocks and watch a little CNBC.
