where would you live In the the states and under 200k ? So work is not an issue. The only issue is where do you like it best considering whats important to you. Please tell me what type of home you think you can buy for that 200k and why you chose that location.

Arizona would be my first choice along with a few locales in California and southern Nevada (not Las Vegas).

If work was not an issue, for 200K. I would get me a 5-10 acre piece of land somewhere out west off I-10, Harquahala Valley area, (It is about 50 miles from Buckeye,) and slap a double wide manufactured home on it.

The list is endless. It is my home. Born and raised. I have been alot of places in my short life; Kentucky, Virginia, Korea, Texas, and Iraq twice. I really cannot justify that last one though as a place to live.

The natural history is phenomenal for 1. The weather, IMO the best weather in the world. The open land, you can drive for hundreds of miles without having to hit asphalt. I have lived in Texas for 4 years, and though Texas in nice, the weather sucks, the scenery is not there, everything is fenced off. The only thing Texas has that Arizona doesn't IMO is hospitality.

Also, the Memories I have, and the potential memories that have yet to have been made. Memories are the only thing that is keeping me going right now. Only 11 more months to go, and I am back home.

are those your two choices vs. Arizona??!!

all I hear about Florida is humidity, even in winter, and lots of transplants from the northeast....and most areas of Riverside County, I presume, are noisy, crowded, expensive, and car-oriented....

Arizona has mercifully dry air, a wide variety of landscapes, wide open country outside the cities, year-round recreation, relatively low living cost, good consumer choices in the two big metro areas, low-key friendly people (mostly).....I plan to stay here the rest of my life

But significantly increasing as more and more transplants....well, transplant. Is there billboards in Michigan pointing to Arizona? All we have are California and Michigan transplants. Whats the deal with that?

So where in Arizona do you suggest I look. I want to be in a suburb outside the main city. I want a newer house and a pool for 200k. I want good schools and safety. I want a place that feels like a suburb of san diego and has some population density. I dont like endless strip malls and sprall. I mostly want greenery. Trees and maybe even a manmade lake . I want to see more than cactus and dirt. And I really want to know how to survive the heat in the summer.
