what about the pressure on American girls to be tan? I have naturally white skin but have always felt pressure to be darker. I've even avoided wherein shorts on a hot day because I thought my legs were too pale. why can't pale skin be considered attractive too? this thread is doing the same thing to pale skinned girls as the commercial is doing to girls with darker skin. at least valuing pale skin is healthier for the body, than going out and baking in the sun. Let people be themselves.
Guys ...that's all thrue ... Asian do prefer white skin and they so right about stay out of the sun...sun is bad for skin and causing premature aging of skin... And pigmentation ...just stay away from sun and keep natural look ...**** all fashion and who like what...every country have own test and style can't follow all...in the end of the day fashion is always changing ...I have very pale skin...was tanning allot before then after spend so much money to actually remove the pigmentation then did some resurch about the sun and radiation so I wouldn't recoment to tan to anyone ...if u like dark just use spray tan...(but that will wash out and look like dirt ) so tan do as well ...but best is stay natural...
Those masks they wear in China look like they are all ready to rob the bank or a convenient store. I would think they would be quite warm to wear too. I wouldn't have thought the mask idea would have caught on given the number of good sun blockers for the face. I'd think a big hat and sun blocker would be at least as good and without the just landed from Mars look.
i think there's a factor of looking "exotic"/"different" as well.
For people of European descent its more "exotic"/different to look tanned and darker
The flip side is true for Asians.
