So you're a chameleon who can blend in pretty much anywhere? That's cewl. I actually prefer standing out in the PI. I'm Mexican but white so stick out like a sore thumb in the country lol.
Chameleon? They change colors. That's one skill I've yet to conquer.
People just find it difficult to determine where I'm from, nothing more.
Lol, I never realized there was a small group of people who don't like it when "PI" is used. Now I am going to use PI even more just to rustle your jimmies.
Have you been to PH?
You may not know it, but PI isn't a good acronym to use in the Philippines (let alone use it for its nickname) since it is also use as an acronym for the most famous curse "Putang Ina" which literally means "Son of a bit**".
Again, nobody in the Philippines would use the acronym "PI" exept for the curse.
PI is so unknown for Filipinos in the Philippines.
It is only used by Filipinos in America. I don't even know why Filipino Americans call it PI.
Forgive me for intruding, but this is/was a term used to describe the Philippines Islands back in the day of the US Military bases (Clark AB, Subic Bay).
This term/name is still in use by us old timers that at one time or another served in the US military.
I am not very old and was never in the US military, but spend most of my time in the PI in Subic and AC, so maybe that explains why I hear it so often.
With this new super storm Hagupit coming, it's not fun for many right now. I do hope it won't be as bad as they are saying.
