any of you who have excess tarps (or know of someone who has), please contact my brother's highschool alumni assoc. to donate those. the people in kinatarcan island near bantayan island at the northern tip of cebu still have no roofs above their heads and are literally sleeping on the ground homeless. this island can only be reached by just 2 pumpboat trips at a time throughout the day. the assoc. just donated 30 tarps, and badly need more for them until they can start rebuilding. to those who wish to donate tarps, or maybe fund the purchase of such, please reach them through their facebook page:

your help will be greatly appreciated by the people in kinatarcan island

I would have been in DEEP TROUBLE if both my parents in Quezon City were killed by the typhoon but it was only very windy there.

A video at the link HERE showing Bantayan island Cebu devastation and as bad as it was, they were lucky it was low tide when the storm hit or it would probably have meant a total wipe out.

While most of the relief effort seems to be on Tacloban, a lot of Cebu island was also severely damaged and from reports I have read Bogo and Daanbantayan were totally flattened with only some concrete houses standing and of those standing supposedly only 10% still had roofs on them. Cebu needs help too.
