I've worked with some Filipinos and many of them to me looks like the Indigenous people of say Southern Mexico, Guatemala, Peru or Bolivia. Conversely I've seen many of the Indigenous Mexicans look like Filipinos.

I'm not an archeologist, but I've like to see the differences and similarities between the Filipinos and say the Aztec, Mayan, Zapotec or Mixtec.

Funny I had a Mexican housemate and at first I thought she was Filipino. She had more 'rounded' features, and didn't really look that European at all.

Pinai, yes that guy definitely looks mestizo. He wouldn't look too out of place in Mexico, especially in a big city such as Mexico City or Monterrey. I think that Filipino would definitely blend in best in like Brazil, Colombia or Venezuela. Maybe also Panama and the Dominican Republic. Especially Brazil though.

There can be some similarities but they mostly look different. Mexico's population is mostly mixed with the native tribes that were there before the Spanish arrived and Spanish. The natives in Mexico (as well as the natives all over North & South America) have been put in the same racial category as Asians by academics. They are under the "Mongaloid" racial umbrella. The other two racial umbrellas being Caucasoid (European) and Negroid (African). So natives from Mexico share physical characteristics & features of all Asians (black straight hair, high cheekbones, brown skin, almond shaped eyes, etc...). The theory is that natives in North & South American migrated to North & South America via the Bering Straight in Alaska 10,000+ years ago from the Mongolia/Siberia region and worked their way all the way down to South America. So North & South American natives are technically originally Asian racially.

Mexicans tend to have sharp, slightly hooked noses. Filipinos have broader, flatter noses. Taiwanese aborigines look closer to Amerinidians than other Austros.
