Singapore fun? Singapore is almost the definition of sterile and boring. I thought everyone knows it.
It looks more like a list of countries with the highest per capita GDP in Asia - but fun? Is it because you simply don't even go to less wealthy countries and therefore they don't even count?
How much have you been to Singapore? How much nightlife have you experienced?
I think Singapore gets a bad rap for this. One reason is it's expensive compared to it's neighbours, so a lot of people who want cheap alcohol and other things will go to Thailand, Indonesia.etc. It's so cheap and easy to go there from Singapore. But Singapore's nightlife - though pricier - is probably a bit more 'sophisticated' and more like Hong Kong or European or some American cities. There are some clubs with good DJs, it gets a lot of big international acts, there are some interesting bars/cafes in Bugis, Arab Quarter, Little India, along with Clarke and Boat Quay.
When Chinese tourists dominate, night clubs and prostitutes won't matter at all.
I mean, though Chinese men go to these places too, those who travel abroad in groups don't do so.
What would be the most fun cities to live in Asia from your personal perspectives? For what reason, why?
Late night activities, nightlife, events and shows late at night, night food areas, active crowds, so on.
