Cause they offer up some damn fine beers and ales, which I sampled at the "Beer City Festival" today right here in the middle of the buy bull belt.

I know the baptists were probably praying for rain, storm or worse, but it was an absolute glorious day sampling the best offerings of the beer gods from 31 different local and regional breweries.

I plan on wearing this anytime I can chafe the butts of bible thumpers around here, or just next week when we visit one of the local breweries, which won't bother the baptists that do drink.

Definitely on our list of places to visit the next time we go to Charleston SC

They have some really clever names and descriptions for their brews too. Bottoms up!

Ok, we've had a chuckle about this and rightly so, but there's a serious side. This business of 'respect' and not offending the beliefs of others is all very well, but we know what's behind it.

Banning anything that offends religious sensibilities. Dragging anyone who offends against religious beliefs into court. This is about the ever - present threat of blasphemy laws.

The shirt probably carries more weight here in the land of southern baptists, cause they don't even allow dancing, much less drink. (Well that's what they say, not what they do)

Think I'll skip sitting alone talking to things that ain't there and put on my Holy City Brewery shirt and head on down to the altar at Pisgah Brewing.
