More on the topic of being afraid of Sarah Palin, I think McCains own campain/administration is afraid of her.

If any one has been keeping an eye on the news, then im sure you heard about McCain cancelling on Letterman the other night, only to go accross the street to do an interview with Katie Couric at the time he was supposed to be filiming with Letterman. During Lettermans Filiming he brings up how McCain cancelled on him, and then brings up live footage of McCain in a different studio getting make up put on and preparing for an interview.

McCain's reason for cancelling on Letterman, and also for suspending his campain is because of the financial crisis. And Letterman calls him out on it, not only for lying to him about why McCain cant be on his show, but also for suspending his campaign. In an instance like this Letterman points out that you dont suspend your campaign, that you take care of the things you need to in Washington and have your #2 continue the campain.

McCain and Palin are supposed to be a team right? So why didnt they let her continue the campain?

Because there afraid of her, they know shes not qualified, they know that if she awnsers for her self it would ultimatly have a negetive effect on the campain. These reasons are why the press is hardly allowed to interview Palin, and why all her speaches and even the few interviews that she has done seem to be scripted.

She is not a strong enough candidate on her own to be VP. Even McCain know's that she would be unable of effectively leading their presidential campain.

In case any one missed the video, heres a link.

Actually he canceled his appearance on the lettermen show because he thought it was not a time to be seen as comedic. Not because he was afraid...
Palin is not afraid either, she is preparing for what is to come and OH she is in charge of ALASKA>>>>>

When I see things like below, Palin seems to be a very disturbing pick:

MSNBC also did a story on this a couple of days ago.

Ok, then why lie? McCain told Letterman he couldnt do the interview because he had to rush back to Whasington, which he didn't. He did an interview for some one else instead.

And what im trying to point out with McCain suspending his campain, is that if he had a strong campain he wouldnt need to suspend it. Palin could continue to campain while McCain is back in Whasington.

So then why suspend his campain? is it because He dosn't have a strong campaing to begin with? Or is he afraid of Palin's ability (or lack thereof) to continue the campain on her own?

i take him at his word and that he suspended his campaign in order to participate and give attention to the financial crisis.

He is an acting Senator...as well as a Presidential nominee. If he had two interviews to do and dropped one to get to Washington, how is that a lie? Maybe he didn't feel like going into all his reasons at the time,,,big deal...
Just look how letterman treated him... i doubt Obama would have been treated the same way. The media bias is sickening, and they are paying a heavy cost, in terms of ratings.

He DIDN'T go to Washington. As one other Senator pointed out...they hadn't heard a peep out of McCain and now he acts like he's NEEDED in Washington???? And then proceeds to do an interview, his campaign ads keep playing !!! You take a liar at their word???

He pulled this stunt to take attention off SaraTodd's abysmal interview with Couric.....try again.....

I'll agree that the financial crisis is a big deal, and deffinatly needs attention. but the fact that he suspended his campain, i.e not trusting Palin to run it for the time being, speaks volumes about McCains confidence in is VP candidate.

Because he didn't go to Whasington right a way, which is what he told Letterman he would do. If he needed to rush back to Whasington as he said, why didnt he cancel both interviews and do as he said he would?

As far as media bias goes i cant argue with you there, and even agree with you. There is a terrible media bias, on both sides. But regardless if that bias is conservative or liberal you cant deny when some one makes a good point.

And when you mention the effect on there ratings, im not sure what you mean. Are you saying that it will have a positive or negitive effect?

McCain has missed about 60-70% of his votes in the past year and a half
