Moderator cut:

Good morning folks.

Thought I was over in Politics upon reading the tail end of this thread this morning...

Back to the OP, or should we call this one a wrap?

Thanks, Chiel for that Snopes link..I am glad to see that the Alaska women are so intelligent..I can't wait until Thursday's debate..I will probably come away feeling very sorry for her.. Do you think Biden will be gentle with her? I think he will gently make her wish she had not gotten herself into this mess...

I just moved to Europe and have limited US tv; the presidential debate was on after midnight so I missed it.

I hope I can see the debate. Biden should give caribou-barbie an idea about what she doesn't know.

Thank goodness for the internets.

When they have the VP debate I hope Biden isn't too aggressive. Sometimes he says things he later regrets. Remember a few years ago when he was running for President and he used parts of a speech from a British politician without giving him credit? He's a very sharp guy but sometimes is a little reckless and if he was condescending to Palin I think it would backfire. It would be wise to treat her respectfully and not rub her nose in the fact that she shouldn't even be the Republican VP choice. That's up for the voters to decide.

Two words: Jesus Ponies

(Supposedly Palin once said that the dinosaurs were Jesus ponies.) 'Nuff said.

Oh please tell me this isn't true. If someone in political office thought such a thing it would be very frightening.

MG - the jesus ponies story hasn't been sourced or corroborated.

Whats scarier is that when asked by Katie Couric to name just one other Supreme Court case in this history of the United States OTHER than Roe V Wade..

she came up with.. zero.. zilch... nada.

Again.. scary.

All gotcha questions, if Katie didn't have a research team doing the work for her, she wouldn't know squat....

Give me a break on the VP jeopardy questions....

Notice no one called Biden out on the Roosevelt on TV comment...doh.

godspeed,

freedom

I'm quite certain that asking a vice presidential candidate to name one single case of the United States Supreme court... isn't a gotcha question.

Oh and another scary thing..

When asked what magazines she reads (one of those "gotcha" questions).. she responded with..

All of them..

She reads.. everything.

Amazing. She is like a beautiful mind.. less the mind thingy.
