Aah but this verse in context is speaking of the house of Israel and not the gentiles aka non believers. IIRC the command starts off with the preamble of, "Do not go the way of the gentiles but go rather to the house of Israel"
So by that I guess you lot should confine your efforts to pestering the Jewish people only. Good luck with that BTW, I am sure many of them know their own holy scrips better than 99% of xians.
The gentiles were considered to be unclean. That’s why they were told to not go to the gentiles.
Aah, but that verse was before Cornelius. Cornelius was a gentile and God himself told him to call for Peter. Peter says, “But God has shown me not to call any man common or unclean”
It’s in Acts chapter 10. That’s when it changed.

Religion has always dragged behind those that question their politics, bias, hatreds.
"Prove all things" has become. "Heed your leader/Pastor".

I couldn't agree more. We have been given all the necessary tools for deep thinking (sans handicapped or injured) to ask questions and seek for answers.

It could do that, it also could be that we entered into "Change". Which is why i used the word Has instead of Does. Though it is a broad brush comment either way.

That's what happens with the brainwashing from birth, you are not to question or think for yourself, God works in mysterious ways, how dare you question him?... It's one of the biggest mistakes to ask why or how. I found out time and time again how they first discourage and then outright forbid questions. How can you expect answers from a person like that now or when they get older? It's probably scary to even think about trying to figure it out. The bible verses are the only answer they ever get an that's a mindless repeating of words.
