1) Johns Creek
2) Alpharetta
3) S. Forsyth
4) Roswell
5) Suwanee
6) Duluth
7) Other

I agree - Alpharetta (in the furture) because of the focus and growth in technology companies.

If Alpharetta is #1... what would say is #2 , #3, - #5? Just curious... as people want to live close to their jobs.

Your choices 1, 2 and 3 are basically the same population. Alpharetta wins for its proximity to GA400.

You can't discount Cumberland, Perimeter, Buckhead, Midtown and Downtown which are the current leaders in employment.

Alpharetta and related cities are just too suburban for many of us. Even if I got a job there, I would not want to live there (from the perspective of a single individual). Telecommuting opportunities continue to improve and many of us need easy access to the aiport so not everyone wants to live there.

Transportation improvements in the regional area can also dramatically change employement growth patterns.

I am looking only for the major new job centers in the northern atlanta suburbs.

I don't discount Gainesville growth but I am not ready to declare it a suburb of Atlanta.

Of course I remember driving to South Forsyth in the 1980's and would not have considered that a suburb of Atlanta. I think GA 400 became a two lane road at that time.
