I will be moving to Atlanta very soon. I am Indian (south indian) and would like to know if there are any apartment complex with decent concentration of indian families. I am told areas like Alpharetta, Duluth, and Lilburn have apartment complexes with indian population. I will be commuting to Buckhead for work.

Any suggestion or recommendation with names of apartment complex will be appreciated.

Thank you.

We are actually caucasion, but we check out some areas. We found a neighborhood that Ryland is building homes in that was primary Indian families. They were all very nice and pleasant to tall with. It seemed that there were some other areas around there that had a larger influence of indian families as well. The homes were actually in Tucker, GA just on the NE of Atlanta on the way toward Alpharetta. Hope this helps, sorry im not as familiar as some others on here.

There is a HUGE BAPS Hundu temple in Lilburn (BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Atlanta - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Ever since it was built I have noticed more and more Indians moving into Lilburn and neighboring areas (Tucker, Norcross)

An easy way to find is to search for "Indian Restaurant" in Google maps.

e.g. Indian Restaurant - Google Maps

All those places with concentrated red dots and place markers signify localities with large Indian population, excluding midtown area.

You can also check out Atlanta Indian Community, Atlanta Desi Community (Atlanta Indian, India): Indian (India). Connection to Indian (Desi) Community in Atlanta Area, that should help.

I've heard that John's Creek has lots of Indians.

Indian restaurants and grocery stores are all over metro Atlanta, but are especially concentrated in the Little India section of Decatur (Patel Plaza has a gigantic grocery store and at least five restaurants).
