I wanted to know if anyone knew of any good Portuguese restaurants and/or bakeries and markets in the Atlanta metro area. I am almost shocked I haven't come across any yet. The only think I have come close to is a Brazilian bakery on Windy Hill Rd, but that isn't the same.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

There is an area on Roswell Road that is mostly Brazilians, Brazilian Bakery, etc. Any one else know of this area? My husband frequents the bakery but I'm not sure where it is...

Caro de Boi in Roswell is killer.

There are several Brazilian markets in Marietta (sorry I forgot where).

And there always is Fogo de Chao in Buckhead.

Here's a Google list for ya:

Default Portuguese Atlanta

Actually there is a great restaurant and all Portuguese connections to many people here at Sabores Portugal restaurant in the Carro de Boi shopping plaza on Roswell Rd. The owner is Lino and the hairdresser next door is Dadita. They are open all except Sun and Mon. Tell them São referred you. Bom apetite e boa sorte.

I am also dying for good Portuguese food. I grew up in Sao Paulo, but I prefer Portuguese cuisine. I used to fly to Lisbon as a flight attendant, the food being one of the principle reasons I flew there so often. Would really appreciate knowing whether Sabores is still open. Thanks!

There is a portuguese restaurant that just opened in Sandy Springs. My firend went there for dinner last week and were absolutely delighted. They have bacalhau a gomes sa,caldo verde, carne alentejana, shrimp in garlic and much more. Deserts out of this world. This weekend we are definately going there for dinner. Oh they make the best sangria in the world. Visit them on facebook: emidio's restaurant.
Can't wait!

Thanks
