30318 is entirely within the City of Atlanta (specifically the neighborhoods of Home Park, Berkeley Park, Underwood Hills, Riverside, Bolton Hills, etc.)

This zip code literally houses some of the best neighborhoods in the city and the absolute worst neighborhoods. Try and get as close to Howell Mill and Northside Drive as possible and try to look more into the northern parts of the zip code. Very trendy and plenty to do.

I live in this zip code and I work an outside sales job with this zip as my primary territory. (So I am out on the road a lot) I live in Underwood Hills at the moment which is a fantastic neighborhood.

As others have said, this is one area that you can't sum up by looking at the zip code as a whole. The areas off of Howell Mill and Defoor Ave are great, but then you can be off of Joseph E Lowery Blvd which is a terrible area.

You will also find very low cost housing and premium cost housing in 30318, without much in between. Good luck!
