Has anyone been to this event? How is it?

Kirkwood Wine Stroll
Yes, my wife and I volunteer every year. Its great, all of the businesses in downtown Kirkwood set up a wine station with 1 red and 1 white wine and snacks that compliment each wine. This year there will be 20 stations. Each ticket holder gets 1 complimentary wine glass to keep and endless wine until the event ends. Last year there was a wine station setup at the Kirkwood Car Wash that featured a DJ and karaoke booth. Its a lot of fun, family friendly, free on-street parking, APD patrols the area and cars. While your there I recommend eating at The Pullman The Pullman - Kirkwood, GA - Pub, New American Restaurant | Facebook, great local gastropub. Get your tickets early, because last year they sold out.

I missed this last year but will be going this time - got my tickets yesterday. Fortunately, I can walk (stumble) home!

I second the Pullman recommendation too.

No doubt about the stumble home. Taxis will be available to those that do not want to drive. MARTA has bus service to downtown Kirkwood via route #24 http://itsmarta.com/24-w.aspx, but it stops running at 7pm. It leaves from Edgewood\Candler Park Station and East Lake Station.
