Hi Friends,
I posted on this forum some time back regarding a decent and safe place to stay in alanta. I'll be working in Atlanta downtown. I got a lot of responses and I have zeroed upon the dunwoody area based on the feedback.

Can you please tell me all the good, safe, quiet apartments in the dunwoody area? I can't really come and see before actually booking an apartment and have to rely on word of mouth.

Please give me some pointers. Thanks in advance!

I'd look at the complexes all along Barfield Road near Hammond. Also check out Windsor on Ashford Dunwoody and Barrington on Mt. Vernon. The complexes near Perimeter Mall all seem to be nice from the outside and you can probably get a deal now.

Default address and names?

Can you please provide me the exact names of those complexes that you have mentioned above. Since, I don't know the place, it's difficult for me to figure out.

Thanks again.

Honestly, I don't remember all of the names of these complexes. Are you here in Atlanta?
Otherwise, look at rent.net and put in 30338 as your zip code to see what comes up. I encourage you to take a weekend and drive around to make sure you like the area.

I live in NY and won't be possible for me to fly down. That's why I seek help from forums like this one.

We stayed at Post Dunwoody when my wife and I were there. They're around your price range and located on Peachtree-Dunwoody Dr. A cool thing about it is the Marta station is right next to the apt community so you could just walk and take the metro into downtown. Takes about 20 minutes one way. And it's gated. We liked it there. There are lots of others too.

The area is safe and nice. People are always out jogging, walking pets, etc. The Perimeter mall is nearby too, and Lenox mall and Phipps plaza are only about 15-20 min drive away.

Post Dunwoody is in a good area. I'd also look at Post Ashford and Windsor on Ashford Dunwoody. I'd stay away from any rentals near Northridge at Roswell Road, which often times lists as Dunwoody. Perimeter Mall is a very nice area as is Peachtree Dunwoody and Glenridge.
