Are there any mattress outlets in Atlanta? Does anyone have a recommendation for the best place to get a good quality mattress at a good price? thanks!

Lots of places...you can get a good deal at Havertys. Also check Macys department stores.
Mattress Discounters does a lot of advertising so you may also want to check them out.

Go to HHGregg. They will give you a good discount on high quality mattress. Make sure you ask for. Check with Roswe at 2784 Cumberland Blvd. Smyna Ga. 770 4329494

I didn't know how big Mattress Firm is until I looked there for something(recommended by Macy's) I couldn't find anywhere else. Yes, they had what I was looking for and the fantastic Tempurpedic set we enjoy daily. We also bought a 'clearance' set for our guest room and are very pleased with the quality and price. We went to the location at Mt. Vernon & Abernathy in Sandy Springs.

I got mine about 3 years ago at Matress King on Cobb Parkway in Marietta. It was like $275 for a very good Spring Air full size mattress and box spring set. I thought it was a deal.

I need a queen or something now. LoL!

If you are looking for a discounter, try Mattress Barn on Chattahoochee. They have overstocks, irregulars, etc. It's hit or miss, but the prices are really good. I think I saw a queen for around $425.00. I have purchased there in the past and been very satisfied.

I think The original Mattress Factory is a good option for regular retail. They have a factory locally and they sell direct in their showrooms, so there is no additional markup. More importantly, they are able to custom produce orders. I was looking for a very specific mattress (just short of rock hard) and they were able to manufacture one.

Do mattress outlets like these ones normally include delivery, or do you have to pay extra for that? I am visiting one this weekend in Baltimore, MD and I'm wondering if I should try to haggle to get delivery for free.

I grew up here in Atlanta and thought that Macy's was the only place that anyone should EVER buy a mattress from until I actually went there to buy a mattress. It is painfully obvious that the sales people are trying to meet sales goals for a particular brand. Twice, I went in knowing what I wanted (a Sealy) and was ready to spend my money and twice I was aggressively steered toward a Spring Air for no reason that I could determine. It was a miserable experience. I ended up at the Mattress Firm in Dunwoody, bought two mattresses, had them delivered for free the next day and my two old mattresses (plus one twin set stuffed in the basement) hauled off. Great experience.

I had a great experience at Mattress Firm about 10 years ago. I'll definitely use them again when it is time to buy my next mattress.

I used The Original Mattress Factory and had a good experience. Price was good, they didn't make any fuss about me wanting only the mattress (most places will almost 'force' you to buy the whole set or it might void the warranty, not here). Bought a queen and so far it's great (will have to see if it lasts 10 years though
